Our staff includes vehicle professionals who handle automobiles, trucks, recreational vehicles (both watercraft and RV’s), and industrial heavy equipment donations. They make sure your vehicles are valued and sold fairly. We also have repair technicians, IT professionals, and support staff who handle Department of Motor Vehicle documents and paperwork and also keep the office running smoothly. They all lend value to Charity Development.

We do a great deal of research and development, too, a fact that surprises some of our clients. R&D is one of the factors that puts us head and shoulders above our competition. About Our Founder

Some people learn expertise in the automobile market; some are born with it. Tim Finnigan, our Charity Development founder, embodies both learning and an inborn passion for cars. When he was 12 years old, he was scanning the auto ads in the Sunday L.A.Times, tracking the values of his favorite classic cars. Today, he’s still tracking car values.

Cars have been the thread through the fabric of his life. He collects cars, and when you meet him, you’ll want to ask him about Jaguars, Mercedes, and American muscle cars.

“Cars are a form of art,” Tim will tell you. “And collection is a preservation of history.” There’s no doubt Tim loves cars.

Auto Marketing Experts

His expertise and background in the automobile market got him into the charitable fundraising arena in the mid 1990s. He had a great idea to raise money through car donations for a California charity, and he was quickly recruited to be the one to do it. As a volunteer, he developed the organization and became a founding member. He stayed to help build the organization into the largest car donation charity organization in the nation.

Now, Tim Finnigan is expanding his Charity Development firm, putting its expertise to work for other charities.

Working with charities is a passion with Tim on a par with his passion for automobiles. These two passions blend into one energetic combination when he’s leading a fundraising campaign for your organization.
